OUR COMMITMENTS ♻️
In order to obtain the European Ecolabel, the Grand Hôtel Français had to comply with some strict and precise ecological criteria. These criteria allow us to reduce our environmental impact. Some of the actions and commitments undertaken within our hotel:
- Use of low consumption light bulbs
- Implementation of selective sorting throughout the hotel
- Green library available to guests
- Raising awareness of environmental issues among staff and guests
- Organic and Fair Trade products available at breakfast
LET's PROTEct the bees 🐝
For several years now, the bee population has been in sharp decline. Concerned about the protection of the environment, the Grand Hôtel Français wished to commit itself to an initiative in favour of these pollinating insects, which are essential to the survival of many species. With the help of "Un toit pour les abeilles", the hotel is now sponsoring a beehive located on the hillsides of Bourg-sur-Gironde, and is thus helping to save the bees. You will find honey from this hive on the breakfast buffet. Enjoy your breakfast!
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT WEEK 🌍
A new step towards ecology for the Grand Hôtel Français, Eco-labelled since 2010, to show its involvement in the environment, the hotel participates in the sustainable development week by setting up different actions each year. Through this action, the Best Western Grand Hôtel Français is helping to encourage its visitors to enter the sustainable era. A nice way to remind the involvement of the Best Western Grand Hôtel Français in the protection of the environment!
